We now have available NEW WOOD beams that are hand hewn.  We are able to offer a variety of color and texture choices at reasonable prices.  These beams are Douglas Fir and can be customized to your specifications. Also we have a limited stock of Oak  in 6 by 7 diameter and also 7 by 8 diameter.  These beams are 7 and 8 feet in length but can be cut to your specifications.

You have 2 choices as far as the hand hewn look. The top beam shows an example of a NEW hand hewn beam that has hack marks from the adze.  The bottom beam is hand hewn without the hack marks.  These beams are new lumber and you can expect some checking as the wood drys.

We offer 4 color choices (left to right) light, medium, dark and black.  The color may vary slightly depending on the actual beam itself. Please email me for prices on the beam size that you need. Examples on Pricing: Fir Mantel 6" by 8" by  7 feet in length, unfinished would cost $165 in the smooth or rough sawn and $228 for hand hewn.  Add $75 for stain and clear coat. Fir Mantel 8" by 8" by 6 feet in length, unfinished would cost $165 in smooth or rough sawn and $225 for hand hewn.
