Many of these custom made pieces are made from antique reclaimed wood.  The wood is taken from 1800's homes or barns that are being demolished.   There are several types of wood available including elm, ash, oak, maple, beech and pine.  Reclaimed lumber has character and history, giving your table a one of a kind look and feel that you don't get from new lumber.
